This small pyrophyllite stone sculpture is about 1 1/2 inches at the tallest part, it tapers to a point and is about 3 1/2 inches long.  It is pin and sleeve mounted on wood which I believe is rosewood.  When on the base, the overall piece is about 3 1/8 inches tall.  Part of the stone has been left unworked.

The music of the wind can be refreshing and calming.  There is an air current which brings clean fresh air to our beloved Pacific northwest.

Like anything, too much has the ability be destructive.  It can snap masts on sailboats, and dash helpless vessels on to the rocks of the shore.

There has to be a fine balance.

Pyrophyllite is a beautiful stone.  It can be reasonably soft in places and hard in others.  One must listen with different senses to the stone.
