I feel it is an thrill when someone wants one of my little landscapes in their home. It is quite a thrill and honor because Slice of Life, Utsalady is going to the home of two respected artists on Camano Island.
This miniature acrylic painting is on a small piece of gesso board about 7/8 inch by 6 inches. It has been mounted on a piece of driftwood bark and is ready for hanging.
At the north end of Camano Island is the wonderful Utsalady area. Legend has it that the name was derived when a baby was born in this area. When asked about the baby, the Scotch person replied: "Ut sa lady".
