In eastern Washington, changes over the years can easily be seen in the landscape. This painting shows a field where once children played and attended classes in the one room schoolhouse. The shell is showing the effects of weather and now even the bell is gone.

This is painted on a canvas panel that is mounted to stand off of the black painted back panel in the frame.

This little painting is on exhibit at the Matzke Fine Arts Gallery.
