Little bear is a small sculpture from a stone which was obtained during a three day sculpture workshop. The stone was in a separate area labelled "mystery stone". No-one was certain what kind of stone it was. This was a soft stone which most assuredly did not like a chisel. It was a delight to watch a small bear emerge. The sculpting used rasps and much sandpaper. Many raw and tooling marks remain in the stone.
Little bear is pin and sleeve mounted on a marble base. He is about 6 1/2 inches tall.
I would not wish to ship Little bear because I feel the stone is fragile. Little bear helps me smile. He's really quite charming.
